After cooking and eating our great vegetarian meals, it’s time to do the dishes and pots… So, as we try to reduce our plastic consumption and water pollution, as much as possible, we also make a homemade cleaning dishes product instead of buying a chemical one in the market.
What do you need?
– Soap ( an organic one)
– 1 liter and a half of water
– Baking soda
– White vinegar
– A grater
– A big pot
Which are the steps to follow?
First step, grate the soap in small pieces, the thinner the better.
Second step, put the 1.5 liters of water into the big pot and add the grated soap.
Third step, put the mixture on the stove, add two big spoons of baking soda and other two big spoons of white vinegar.
Fourth step, mix everything with a wooden spoon, while is in the stove, until all the small pieces of soap have been dissapeared, once that happen stop the stove. Advice, pay attention to the boiling point because white vinegar and baking soda can react together, so is better to stop the stove before that point.
The last setp consist to let the mixture rest in the pot during 24h and then mixing with a blender the resulting product. Finally, you can keep it as you wish, we reuse the last bottle of the cleaning dishes product that we bought in the market before starting to make our own one.
